First post here. Thanks for creating this new forum!
I discovered Faye's filmography about three years ago, and have become a rather rabid fan ever since. While I've been able to buy DVDs of most of her films, or watch hard-to-find ones on YouTube (like A Place for Lovers and Evita Peron), I'm having a hard time finding a few of the TV movies she's been in. I managed to snag a DVD copy somebody made of Disappearance of Aimee online. Unfortunately, the sound quality was really terrible so it was nearly unwatchable. I know some have only been issued on VHS, but I'm wondering if anybody has advice on how to obtain some DVD copies of these? I know that "bootleg" copies are probably all that's available since they were only issued on VHS but anything would be great to be able to see them.
Disappearance of Aimee (without sound glitches) The Country Girl Cold Sassy Tree Silhouette
Thanks for any info you might have!

Welcome onboard, nboston81 ! Glad you've become a fan so quickly. Here is a link to watch “Silhouette” online streamin.to/w5ibrk4ti7rl It's the best version I found. I would also love to see “The Disappearance of Aimee”, I've only watched a terrible quality version too.

I just watched The Disappearance of Aimee. Thanks again! It was nice to be able to hear the dialogue this time around. I really, really love the scene in the hospital where Faye is recounting the kidnapping scenario. Incredible performance in that scene.

Country Girl seems like one of the most rare ones in a way. I've never seen so much as a publicity still from it, other than the one used on the VHS box cover. Was that a filmed play on a stage, basically? Or was it done more like a typical TV movie with sets and locations? Never was quite sure.

Country girl was a TV movie- I guess filmed on location . There are some fairly cheap vhs copies on Amazon-would be amazing if someone could rip to YouTube or MP4- shipping for vhs from states too expensive to U.K.

I have The Country Girl on vhs and tried to transfer it to dvd when I had a dvd/vcr recorder but it had copy protection on it. I actually took the tape reels out and put them in a different case and it still wouldn't record. And now I don't have a vcr at all. If someone can recommend another route please let me know. The Country Girl is one of the main things I've always wanted to share online - it's really terrific and feels very 'actor's studio' and is pretty much a 'live' recording without an audience. I'm working on Cold Sassy Tree but there's a glitch in the home-made dvd so it's being a pain...

I'm so happy to share Cold Sassy Tree - it's one of my all time favorites and I think it's one of her best performances. She should have won that Cable Ace she was nominated for (damn you Cicely Tyson!). It's directed by Joan Tewkesbury who wrote NASHVILLE, one of my favorites, and the ensemble cast is superb - especially Neil Patrick Harris and Richard Widmark. It also has Jo Harvey Allen - a cult quirky character actress I love - as the town gossip and debbie downer. Because of a glitch in the disk, the film was separated into 5 clips, but using the youtube editor I put it back together into two parts, because it doesn't allow clips over an hour. Enjoy! timtam87, where did you download the Faye, Peter O'Toole movie? I have her clips on youtube but it has foreign subtitles and I'd like to find one without it. Thanks
