I stumbled across this conversation on twitter: New York Times @nytimes Financiers loved the script of “El Chicano,” but they wanted one change: add a white character. The filmmakers refused and they had to go to Canada to get their film made.Matthew Aaron Show @mattaaronshow repliedSounds like my Faye Dunaway film. “Add a male star or a female of younger age”. Good got you guys. Get it made your way. #ElChicano opens this week!!So I tweeted to Matthew: Your Faye Dunaway film? Do tell! I'm guessing it wasn't made (since I know her whole filmography) but please tell us what it was about and what role #FayeDunaway was to play. ThanksHis response:She’s attached to star in it. I wrote it just for her. It’s about a woman who has been a political advocate her entire life and deals with her world falling apart starting the night of the 2016 election. It’s THE lead and written specifically for her, Virginia Madsen and othersI tweeted:Wow - that sounds fantastic! Please God let it happen! You now have a new fan and supporter (me). We Faye fans are fiercely devoted so let us know how we can help ya'll achieve this dream project. Cheers! #FayeDunaway #MatthewAaronShowMatthew Aaron:Thank you and I’m nearly as big of a fan as you. Hopefully it happens soon!! I’ll keep you updated.I encourage all us Faye fans to follow/support Matthew Aaron. He's a big fan and is trying to give her a really cool role!!!

Someone mentionned on the “Tea at Five“ situation page that someone who casted Faye in an upcoming movie with Virginia Madsen had decided to cut all ties with her. It turns out it was Matthew Aaron....

Yes, I saw that.
Here's what's funny: After the news dropped about Faye, I suddenly remembered Aaron. We had talked back and forth a couple of times on twitter. So, without looking at his facebook where he had already posted he was cutting ties with Faye for being abusive, I sent him a DM on twitter saying "I hope this doesn't dampen your enthusiasm for working with Faye haha" !!!!
He must have thought I was being a sarcastic jerk!
After I saw his facebook post, I sent another DM and said, "I saw your facebook post. I hope you will reconsider your position on Dunaway. She needs help and understanding."
I haven't heard back, so I will take that as a no haha.
If someone offered him money to make his movie with the condition he had to stick with Faye I'm sure his opinion would change. It sounds like his concern is her name my scare off investors. He forgets how weird Hollywood is. Faye will get some offers just because of her notoriety now. She most likely want do them because the offers will be for something exploitative. You know right now probably some producers are wanting her to be in a role where she slaps people.
I would love for her to take a small role in an independent film about Hollywood where she plays an aging hair/makeup stylist, and one of her lines is something like, " I was just trying to put a wig on the brat, and she slapped me!". It would be so META and would bring the house down.
