Faye Dunaway "Let's Spend Termite Together" 1993
This is the third episode of Faye and Robert Urich's short lived TV series It Had to Be You. Faye is light and funny in this episode as Laura kindly agrees to host Mitch and his three boys for the weekend as their home is being exterminated. But SURPRISE! A fancy French magazine schedules for the same day to do a cover story on Laura. With Robin Bartlett, Justin Whalin, and Will Estes.

Faye Dunaway "All About Dave" 1993
Laura is desperate for Mitch's son David to like her, so she gives him a job at her office that puts him at odds with her over-worked secretary Eve, and causes an international incident! This is the final episode that aired (not filmed) of It Had to Be You the sitcom starring Faye and Robert Urich.

Faye Dunaway Acting Seminar 1995 talks Mommie Dearest Bonnie Condor Network interview
Faye guests for a seminar at Pace University during the Inside the Actor's Studio series. James Lipton and Faye discuss the delicate balance between the demands of being an authentic Movie Star and the demands on oneself as a dedicated artist. I rearranged the episode to start with the segment where Faye takes questions from the students because it hasn't been on YT before.

Faye Dunaway A Place for Lovers 1969
Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times called it the "most godawful piece of pseudo-romantic slop I've ever seen!" This film won a Golden Turkey award back in the day, BUT who cares? It stars Faye Dunaway and Marcello Mastroianni who fell in love during the making of it and carried on a torrid love affair for about two years.

Faye Dunaway Film Debut: The Happening 1967
This is Faye's Big Screen debut (even though Hurry Sundown was released first) where Faye plays a bored college student looking for kicks, and gets more than she bargained for when she and three strangers kidnap a retired Mafia mob boss, holding him for ransom. This film is very 60s and of it's time but great fun. With Anthony Quinn, Michael Parks, George Maharis, Robert Walker Jr., Martha Hyer.

Wait Until Spring, Bandini 1989
Faye plays a 1920s Sugar Mama who takes a liking to the replacement handyman, but he's married and has three sons. Dunaway is a supporting character, but she is the catalyst of the entire plot in Dominique Deruddere's film of John Fante's novel. Unemployed and broke, Svevo Bandini (Joe Mantegna) tries to come up with the money his family needs to make it through the winter, while putting up with his difficult mother-in-law (Renata Vanni), his nervous wife (Ornella Muti), and his three young boys (eldest played by Michael Bacall).

Faye Dunaway 1993 Regis & Kathie Lee - It Had to Be You sitcom
Fantastic interview, one of my favorites, where Faye talks about wanting to do comedy to change her 'serious' persona. This is Dunaway's 2nd appearance on the morning show, two days after the Sunday premiere of her sitcom It Had to Be You and three days before it airs in it's regular time slot of Friday at 7pm (up against the juggernaut Family Matters with Urkel). Faye is happy and excited about this chapter of her career - which unfortunately abruptly ended 2 and a half weeks later.

Wow, Faye is always in such great spirits on Regis & Kathie Lee. Was this her final appearance on that show or are there more? She even manages to have (kinda) a sense of humor about the fact that Regis will bring up wire hangers and Faye's tantrums and Mommie Dearest to her face so often. He even had the nerve to mention Bette Davis talking about Faye until Faye expertly cut him off and talked over him, LOL.
It's too bad this TV series experience didn't last a bit longer for Faye. Not sure if you saw, but Leslie Jordan (her costar in the series) was on Watch What Happens Live discussing running into Faye years later and she didn't recognize him at first, and when he reminded her of this TV series, she politely brushed him off and just said, "Dear, that was a long time ago," and walked away.

Faye Dunaway "Long Date's Journey Into Night" 1993
This is the second episode of It Had to Be You where Laura and Mitch plan a first date after their 'meet cute' in the pilot episode. Faye's hair is longer and darker here than it was in the first - that was shot a couple of months earlier during pilot season. This episode aired Firday Sept 24th after the premiere was shown earlier in the week on Sunday, and Dunaway appeared on Regis & Kathie Lee that Tuesday to promote this episode. I love Faye pigging out in her sweats and yelling at the TV - very comedic. Brava!

nboston81,
Faye did four spots on Regis & Kathie Lee (according to the internet) but I only have three. The third video I will upload is when her autobiography was published and she announced that she was doing Master Class tour. Not sure if that was the third or the fourth.
I'm still pissed that I missed the other appearance.
I saw Leslie Jordan talking about Faye last week - I have his DVD My Life on the Pink Carpet where he talks more about guesting on It Had to Be You. I hope someday to see those lost episodes. Apparently (thanks to a youtube commenter) I can one day see them at the Library of Congress.
Glad you are well.

Faye Dunaway It Had To Be You/Arizona Dream (Arrowtooth Waltz) CBS This Morning 1993
Mark McEwen is excited to interview Faye about her new sitcom, and he brings up Arrowtooth Waltz (which became Arizona Dream) at the end of the clip which is the only time I've seen her talk about it during a television interview. This was taped the same day as the Regis & Kathie Lee interview just minutes apart, which is why Faye is wearing the same outfit during both interviews. Here's a blurb from 1991 L.A.Times about halted production on Arrowtooth Waltz: "Cut! A $13.5-million movie being filmed for the past five months in the Douglas, Ariz., area has stopped production because of budget overruns and union problems, producers said. “Arrowtooth Waltz,” starring Jerry Lewis, Faye Dunaway and Johnny Depp, began shooting in and around Douglas and other parts of southern Arizona in February. The production was scheduled to finish filming by June 4, but instead packed up on July 3."

If you don't already have a copy of it, there's a great 45-minute Sky TV documentary called "Discovering Faye Dunaway" that can be found on YouTube (at least for now). Excerpts of her most important movies, and a sort of career biography narrated by various film critics. It was remarkably well done.

Nice to see her looking well in these pics. Much better than the skeletal pics of her in Tea at Five.Thought maybe she had retired from public life after the dramas of last summer. Wonder if the court case re the "L.H.Boy" has been settled. Hope it doesn't come back to bite her on the bum. Will she ever make Visceral with Georgina Campbell? I imagine you guys have seen the Leslie Jordan Instagram clips where he calls her "batshit crazy"... and the What Happens Next zoom interview he did with Andy Cohen where he recounts meeting her on the street years after It Had to be You. Also, there are some pics of Faye on wigmaker Paul Huntley's Insta...who knew that in Network she was wearing a wig!
